Abstract(s)
Histéricas históricas (Historical hysterics) is an audio-visual proposal integrated in a master’s project of a practice-based research in the theatre making, as means to transform the investigation into a ludic production. The line of research is grounded in the female comic characters of the Theatre History, and it approaches five different contexts of European currents. Those are the Greek comedy, the medieval theatre, the Spanish Gold Century, the British sitcoms and other contemporary formats. Given the mimetic conditions of art, we will then revisit the historical-social frameworks to try to understand how the evolution of the comic female characters happened over the centuries, tracing a relationship between the social framework and the stage possibilities.
