Abstract(s)
Atualmente existem organizações dedicadas à prestação de serviços de suporte aos hospitais
no sentido de colaborarem numa ótica de otimização da prestação de cuidados de saúde,
contribuindo para o aumento da eficácia e eficiência do sistema de saúde. Geralmente integram
grandes áreas de negócio ou clusters tais como, Engenharia, Nutrição, Ambiente e Serviços, em
que cada um deles é constituído por um conjunto de subáreas de atuação. Geograficamente
estão dispersos e localizados em diversas regiões. Pela natureza das suas atividades detêm
capacidade de oferta integrada de serviços partilhados em saúde. Integram equipas
especializadas de milhares de colaboradores.
Nesse sentido, possuem uma infraestrutura tecnológica fisicamente dispersa pelo território
com uma rede de comunicações complexa e com milhares de computadores e centenas de
outros dispositivos (PDAs, tablets, sistemas biométricos, etc.) em permanente utilização.
Salienta-se ainda que, existem dezenas de aplicações de gestão a funcionar diariamente
desenvolvidas em diferentes tipos de tecnologias. Pelo que se torna crucial a integração dos
dispositivos com os sistemas de gestão e a própria integração dos referidos sistemas, de forma
centralizar a informação e as ações das várias áreas de operação, tornando os sistemas
transparentes, i.e., visíveis por todos.
Currently, there are organizations dedicated to providing support services to hospitals in order to collaborate with a view to optimize the provision of health care, contributing to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the health system. They generally integrate large business areas or clusters such as Engineering, Nutrition, Environment and Services, in which each one is made up of a set of sub-areas. Geographically they are dispersed and located in several regions. Due to the nature of their activities, they have the capacity to offer integrated shared services in health. They integrate specialized teams of thousands of employees. In this sense, they have a technological infrastructure physically dispersed throughout the territory with a complex communications network and with thousands of computers and hundreds of other devices (PDAs, tablets, biometric systems, etc.) in permanent use. It should also be noted that there are dozens of management applications running daily developed in different types of technologies. It is therefore crucial to integrate the devices with the management systems and the systems themselves, in order to centralize the information and actions of the various areas of operation, making the systems transparent, i.e. visible to all.
