Os moldes para injeção de plástico são uma referência na indústria da metalomecânica
em Portugal. A qualidade dos moldes fabricados é reconhecida mundialmente. Nos
últimos anos, a injeção de bi-material tem assumido uma relevância crescente.
A elaboração deste trabalho consistiu no projeto e fabricação de um molde que permite
injetar quatro peças com características especiais, destinadas à indústria automóvel.
Considerando a ficha técnica do molde e o caderno técnico do cliente, iniciou-se o
projeto com a definição da cavidade, macho, postiços, movimentos, placas e dos
respetivos materiais e seleção de componentes normalizados.
O trabalho acompanhou todo o processo de criação do molde, desde a receção das
peças em ficheiros 3D, até ao ensaio do molde.
Após a realização de ensaios e feitas pequenas correções, verificou-se que o molde
cumpriu com os objetivos, permitindo a obtenção de peças com o formato e qualidade
exigidas pelo cliente final.
Plastic injection moulds are a remarkable product in the in Portuguese metalworking industry. The quality of the moulds manufactured in Portugal is recognized worldwide. Nowadays, bi-injection material has assumed increasing importance, bringing new challenges for this kind of industry. This work consisted in the design and production monitoring of a mould which allows injecting four pieces with special features for the automotive industry, including biinjection operation. Considering the technical mould and technical notebook of the customer, the project began with the definition of the cavity, male, hairpieces, movements and plates, respective materials selection and choice of the best standardized components. The work followed the entire process of creating the template, since the reception of parts in 3D files, up to the final test in production context. After testing and made minor corrections, it was found that the mould complied with the main requirements established by the customer, allowing obtain parts with the required shape and quality.
