Este relatório resulta do estágio curricular realizado de 1 de fevereiro de 2019 a 31 de julho de 2019 na empresa Ales Consulting, Ltd, em Londres, Inglaterra, como trabalho final do curso de Mestrado em Tradução e Interpretação Especializadas, do Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto.
A decisão de realizar um estágio foi tomada com a expectativa de estar inserida num contexto real de trabalho, de modo a adquirir competências que me vão servir de preparação para o meu futuro como profissional.
Ao estar inserida numa empresa de tradução, tive a oportunidade de observar, compreender e participar no fluxo de trabalho da mesma. Senti-me e fui tratada como um membro da empresa e não como uma estagiária apenas, o que, na minha opinião, me fez crescer a nível pessoal e profissional.
Posso afirmar que foi uma experiência bastante positiva. Pude adquirir competências a nível de tradução, gestão de projetos e secretariado, que serviram de ponte da minha formação académica para a minha futura vida profissional.
This report is the result of the curricular internship that lasted from 1 February 2019 to 31 July 2019, in the company Ales Consulting, Ltd., in London, England, as the final project of the Master’s Degree in Specialised Translation and Interpreting, at the Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto. The decision to do an internship was made with the expectation to be imersed in a real work contect, in order to acquire skills that will prepare me for my future as a progessional. By being inserted in a translation company, I had the chance to observe, understand and participaty in its work flow. I felt and was treated as a member of the company and not just as an intern, which, in my opinion, made me grow on a persnonal and professional level. I can confirm that it was overall a very positive experience. I was able to acquire translation, project management and admin skills that worked as a bridge, from my academic training into my future professional life.
