Abstract(s)
As empresas, para se tornarem competitivas, tentam adotar técnicas que lhes permitam obter vantagens comparativamente às empresas concorrentes, de que podem ser exemplo a diferenciação nos produtos ou a melhoria no serviço prestado aos seus clientes. Desta forma, a metodologia 5S assim como o Kaizen têm ganho notoriedade no mundo empresarial, uma vez que fornecem vantagens às empresas que adotam estas ferramentas. Estes instrumentos permitem às empresas executarem as suas tarefas de forma mais eficiente, evitando os desperdícios e melhorarem as suas atividades continuamente, permitindo que estas implementem melhorias nos processos das suas atividades. Neste sentido, entendeu-se pertinente formular a seguinte questão de investigação: Como a implementação da melhoria contínua gerou impacto na performance da empresa Argon no período 2021-2023? Para responder à questão, definiu-se como objetivo geral analisar e descrever o impacto da melhoria contínua na empresa Argon.
Para responder à questão formulada, a pesquisa seguiu uma abordagem de estudo de caso, com os dados a serem analisados tendo por base um conjunto de relatórios referentes ao período pré e pós implementação da melhoria contínua na organização Argon. Assim, com a autorização do fornecimento de dados da empresa Argon, foi possível fazer-se uma análise da situação desta organização e dos resultados obtidos antes e depois da implementação das ferramentas de melhoria contínua. A análise inclui indicadores como rotação de stock e nível de serviço, mostrando melhorias significativas após a adoção das práticas de melhoria contínua. A empresa não apenas alcançou, como superou os objetivos estabelecidos: evolução positiva nos indicadores de performance (rotação de Stock, nível de serviço e percentagem de reclamações internas por linhas separadas) e, consequentemente, aumento da satisfação do cliente.
A conclusão reforça a importância de uma cultura organizacional que apoie a melhoria contínua, destacando os benefícios obtidos e os desafios superados. Este estudo contribui para a compreensão de como a melhoria contínua pode ser um motor para a inovação e eficiência em empresas do setor de telecomunicações e eletrónicos.
In order to become competitive, companies try to adopt techniques that allow them to gain advantages over their competitors, such as differentiating their products or improving the service they provide to their customers. In this way, the 5S methodology and Kaizen have gained notoriety in the business world, as they provide advantages to companies that adopt these tools. These tools allow companies to carry out their tasks more efficiently, avoiding waste and continuously improving their activities, allowing them to implement process improvements in their activities. In this sense, it was deemed pertinent to formulate the following research question: How did the implementation of continuous improvement impact on the performance of the Argon company in the period 2021-2023? To answer the question, the general objective was to analyse and describe the impact of continuous improvement on the Argon company. In order to answer the question posed, the research followed a case study approach, with the data being analysed based on a set of reports relating to the period before and after the implementation of continuous improvement in the Argon organization. Thus, with the authorization of the Argon company to provide data, it was possible to carry out an analysis of the situation of this organization and the results obtained before and after the implementation of the continuous improvement tools. The analysis includes indicators such as stock rotation and service level, showing significant improvements after the adoption of continuous improvement practices. The company not only achieved, but exceeded the established objectives: positive evolution in the performance indicators (stock rotation, service level and percentage of internal complaints by separate lines) and, consequently, an increase in customer satisfaction. The conclusion reinforces the importance of an organizational culture that supports continuous improvement, highlighting the benefits obtained and the challenges overcome. This study contributes to the understanding of how continuous improvement can be an engine for innovation and efficiency in companies in the telecommunications and electronics sector.
