Abstract(s)
In the 20th century, there was an explosion around the development of the automobile industry. From that moment on, the automobile has become an essential asset for society to this day. Thus, around the role that the automobile played in people's lives, one of the strongest pillars of the world economy was created, the automobile industry. Thus, with the evolution, this industry created foundations that based its competitiveness on the main objectives of satisfying people's needs with the highest possible quality and always respecting delivery deadlines. With the growth of the demand, there was a need to improve certain processes to achieve the desired production amount. Thus, automation and robotics have become the best way to meet market needs. Automation followed this evolution, and, like the automotive industry, it also presents a constant evolution, frequently emerging new solutions to the problems. Production and assembly lines increasingly use fully automated processes. Thus, this work arises in response to the needs of a manufacturer of components for the automotive industry. In plastic injection lines, production is constant and carried out quickly, and to take advantage of this speed, it is desirable to carry out component assembly steps that immediately support the output of the injection mold parts. The work consists of adapting an obsolete robotic cell, with the aim of eventually being implemented in one of the production lines to carry out the task of inserting components into the injected parts. For this, whenever possible, the reuse of existing material will be prioritized to reuse existing material that is out of use, but in good condition. The results of this work were highly positive. The equipment was concluded and is currently in production, fulfilling all the necessary requirements and improving the process cycle time and it reduced the human action in the cycle. Is expected as ROI (return-on-investment) one year.
