Abstract(s)
Contabilidade e Administração do Porto –Politécnico do Porto.
World of Wine, localizado em Vila Nova de Gaia.
entender a nossa evolução enquanto sociedade.
This internship report was written as part of the curricular internship carried out for the completion of the Master's Degree in Intercultural Studies for Business, at the Instituto de Instituto de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto - Politécnico do Porto. The internship took place from February to May 2023, in the "cultural quarter" called World of Wine, located in Vila Nova de Gaia. The specific focus of the internship was The Bridge Collection museum, a private collection of drinking vessels. Since time immemorial, humanity has strived to improve the quality of life through invention and innovation. Whether it's the improvement of tools, the revolution in agriculture or technological milestones, they are all manifestations of our will to create and progress. In essence, this creative force has always been a constant pillar of human trajectory, driving us to explore, invent and innovate. This has led to the extraordinary achievements and progress we see today, with the evolution of drinking vessels being an example of this process. Today, we see a glass as a common object, yet when we go back to the time before drinking vessels were conceived, we realize the uniqueness and relevance of such a vast and varied collection. This museum serves not only as a testimony to our history, but also as a window into our evolution as a society.
