Atualmente e mais do que nunca, as questões ligadas à sustentabilidade e à eficiência energética são cada vez mais importantes, mas, continua a observar-se um certo distanciamento daquela que é a vida quotidiana da sociedade e aquilo que são as medidas que deveriam ser aplicadas diariamente por todos. Apesar dos esforços realizados por entidades responsáveis, o consumo excessivo de recursos mundialmente e consequentemente as emissões prejudiciais para o meio ambiente provam cada vez mais ser um desafio enorme e complexo de solucionar. Com vista a melhorar este consumo excessivo de recursos, a União Europeia tem trabalhado cada vez mais na apresentação de propostas e medidas que irão aproximarnos cada vez mais da solução ideal para esta problemática. O trabalho aqui apresentado foi desenvolvido tendo em perspetiva o estudo das instalações onde o autor se encontra a exercer a sua atividade profissional e terá como objetivo final a implementação das medidas estudadas de forma a melhorar a eficiência energética do edifício em questão. Assim sendo, a presente dissertação visa aprofundar os conhecimentos técnicos adquiridos ao longo da componente curricular do curso onde se insere e prevê-se que sejam obtidos resultados concretos e medidas concretas que podem ser implementadas contribuindo para um futuro cada vez mais sustentável. O efeito desejável deste estudo seria converter o edifício existente num nZEB, e portanto, obter a classificação máxima de eficiência energética. Desta forma, o estudo realizado foca-se numa análise à utilização de eletricidade e também será feita uma análise ao consumo do recurso hídrico, e à semelhança da eletricidade, também serão estudadas forma de reduzir/otimizar consumos e também obter este recurso através de forma alternativa, adicionalmente, deverá ser possível obter dados concretos da poupança que será possível obter anualmente tendo em conta as modificações sugeridas, a instalação de painéis fotovoltaicos para produção de energia elétrica também será contemplada neste estudo. No futuro, esta mudança passará não só pela construção de infraestruturas cada vez mais sustentáveis, mas também pela sensibilização de cada utilizador ativo no sistema, pelo que toda esta mudança de paradigma leva tempo a ser implementada pelo que não devem ser esperados resultados muito significativos a curto prazo.
Nowadays and more than ever, sustainability related topics and energetic efficiency are getting more and more important and fundamental, even though, we still face a big path ahead in society behaviour and in what shall be the daily behaviour of every citizen. Despite all efforts made by responsible entities, the overwhelming consumption of resources, and therefore, the emission of prejudicial gases to the environment are proving to be each day a greater and greater challenge with a very demanding solution. Bearing in mind the improvement of the excessive consumption of resources, the European Union has been working restlessly in the presentation of proposal and measures in order to achieve the ideal solution to this problem, thus, the study hereby presented was developed with the aim of analysing the office space in which the author finds himself developing his professional activity and it will have as main goal the implementation of specific measures in order to increase the energetic efficiency of the building. This master thesis seeks the thorough technical study acknowledged trough the master’s course and it’s the authors aim to reach tangible results which can be implemented in a nearby future aim for a sustainable development. The desired outcome of this project would be to convert the existing building in a nZEB, and consequently, reaching the maximum energy efficiency classification. This study is focussing on the analysis of electricity usage, and also, the analysis of water usage will also be in the scope of the project, and, how much is consumed, how can we produce electricity from alternative sources and how can we increase energetic efficiency will also be analysed, always seeking for a early savings related to those resources, the installation of photovoltaic modules will be included in this study as well. Ultimately, the similarity between the office building and the nZEB will be the objective and we should consider these buildings (nZEB) as the example to follow. This change considers not only the construction of more sustainable infrastructures but also the sensibilization of each active user of the system, however we should bear in mind that this behaviour change will take some time and we should not hope for big changes in a short period of time.
