Esta pesquisa, realizada no contexto do Mestrado em Educação:
especialização em educação e formação de adultos, no Instituto Politécnico
do Porto, permeia a temática do Programa Nacional de Integração da
Educação Profissional com a Educação Básica na Modalidade de Educação de
Jovens e Adultos-PROEJA, que representa uma formação integrada entre a
Educação Profissional e a Educação Básica, possibilitando aos egressos atuar
como profissionais técnicos e também seguir a trajetória escolar. Diante dessa
realidade, investigaram-se os egressos do PROEJA inseridos em cursos
superiores, tendo, como objetivo principal, identificar e compreender os
sentidos e (re)significados atribuídos à participação no PROEJA. Os sujeitos da
pesquisa eram oito egressos dos Cursos Técnico em Informática e Técnico em
Comércio do Campus Júlio de Castilhos, que estavam matriculados em cursos
superiores do campus no segundo semestre de 2017. Trata-se de uma
pesquisa qualitativa, caracterizada como um estudo de caso, em que se
utilizaram questionários e entrevistas narrativas para a recolha dos dados, e a
análise textual discursiva para analisar as entrevistas realizadas. Buscaram-se,
na pesquisa teórica e documental, subsídios para ancorar e discutir os dados
empíricos, baseando-se nos referenciais sobre a Andragogia, Educação de
Jovens e Adultos e Educação Profissional. Os egressos pesquisados tinham
idades entre 25 e 55 anos, a maioria eram mulheres que, por meio de suas
narrativas, revelaram que o curso PROEJA teve grande significação e
possibilitou a elas tanto o delineamento da trajetória escolar no ensino
superior quanto mudanças positivas na forma de ser, de agir e de pensar
The present research carried out within the context of a Master’s Degree in education: specialization in education and training of adults, at Instituto Politécnico do Porto and approaches Programa Nacional de Integração da Educação Profissional com a Educação Básica na Modalidade de Educação de Jovens e Adultos-PROEJA (National Program for the Integration of Professional Education with Basic Education for Youngsters and Adults), enabling egressed students to perform as professional technicians and also carry on their educational path. In response to this reality, students egressed from PROEJA and now at the condition of college students were analyzed with the purpose of identifying and comprehending the meaning and (new) meanings accredited to the participation in PROEJA. The subjects under analysis were 8 students egressed from Campus Júlio de Castilhos, enrolled in different majors in the second semester of 2017. This was a qualitative research characterized as a study-case, which made use of questionnaires and narrative interviews to collect data, as well as textual-discourse analysis to interpret the interviews mentioned. The theoretical research used elements to base and discuss empiric data, resting on Andragogy references, Education for youngsters and Adults and Professional Education. The egressed students analyzed were between 25 and 55 years old, mostly women, who revealed that the PROEJA course held great significance in their lives and enabled them to outline their educational pathway to college and brought significant changes in their way of being, thinking and acting
