| dc.description.abstract | Este ensaio procura debruçar-se sobre as ferramentas e metodologias utilizadas no estudo da etnografia associada ao cinema documental e como estas podem ser usadas na realização de um filme que se aproxime ao máximo da realidade de uma comunidade a ser estudada, com atenção a todas as implicações éticas que possam daí existir. Para além disso, pretende-se averiguar como o subgénero etnográfico se manifestou na prática do cinema português na representação de comunidades de diferentes pontos do território, com especial ênfase na região do Algarve. Partindo do cruzamento de conceitos dos campos da Antropologia Visual, Sociologia e Etnografia, o objetivo passa por entender de que forma uma abordagem etnográfica pode moldar a construção da narrativa documental de determinado filme. Através da realização do filme Lá Pró Pé do Fim e da análise de outras referências filmográficas, explora-se como melhor aplicar técnicas e estratégias de envolvimento com o Outro representado para criar uma obra documental mais autêntica. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | This essay seeks to examine the tools and methodologies used in the study of ethnography associated with documentary cinema and how these can be used in the making of a film that comes as close as possible to the reality of a community being studied, with attention to all the ethical implications that may arise. In addition, it aims to investigate how the ethnographic subgenre has manifested itself in Portuguese cinema in the representation of communities from different parts of the country, with a special emphasis on the Algarve region. Based on the intersection of concepts from the fields of Visual Anthropology, Sociology, and Ethnography, the objective is to understand how an ethnographic approach can shape the construction of the documentary narrative of a given film. Through the making of the film Lá Pró Pé do Fim and the analysis of other film references, we explore how best to apply techniques and strategies of engagement with the Other represented in order to create a more authentic documentary work. | por |
