Abstract(s)
O objetivo é, neste sentido, descrever as intenções, referências e técnicas utilizadas neste
Although the importance of cinematography in cinema is recognized, it is not always seen with due artistic value. The requirements for high technical knowledge easily overshadow the importance of this function, not only for the narrative to be transcribed in a comprehensive and visually appealing way, but also for creating an emotional reaction in the viewer. The cinematographer is responsible for the manipulation of two absolutely essential tools for cinematographic creation: the camera, the equipment that allows the recording of visual images; and light, the essential element needed for images to be formed. This essay is based on the work of cinematography in the film Johnny White, where several options were taken that seek to create a greater emotional involvement of the viewer and also to attribute density to the narrative and support to the main character portrayed. The objective is, in this sense, to describe the intentions, references and techniques used in this process, as well as an analysis and discussion of the obtained result.
