| dc.description.abstract | A presente pesquisa debruçou-se sobre a temática da reprodução social do machismo e das (des)igualdades de gênero tomando como foco empírico as estudantes do curso Técnico em Estética PROEJA, com as turmas do 1º, 2º e 3º anos, do ano de 2018. No Brasil, os índices de violência contra a mulher são gritantes e assiste-se, na atualidade, a diversas tentativas de retrocessos nos direitos das mulheres brasileiras. Este conjunto de fatores ajudam a explicar a relevância de pesquisas centradas em temáticas da cultura machista, violência e desigualdades de gênero. Os principais objetivos da presente pesquisa foram: (i) mapear as principais representações que as estudantes do curso Técnico em Estética PROEJA têm sobre o machismo, (ii) identificar e caracterizar as situações de machismo vivenciadas pelas estudantes (iii) e identificar as representações sobre os efeitos e consequências do machismo vivenciado e da desigualdade de gênero nos seus quotidianos. Definiu-se uma estratégia metodológica eminentemente qualitativa e eclética que privilegiou os seguintes instrumentos de coleta de dados: questionário, entrevistas semiestruturadas e diário de campo. Para a entrevista, optou-se pela técnica de história oral de vida, tendo como objetivo a narrativa das experiências de vida das estudantes. A análise apontou que as representações foram ancoradas e objetivadas em teorias sociais, morais e biológicas que ainda sustentam os mitos do machismo e da desigualdade de gênero. Também que essas representações estão em constante reelaboração, conforme a vivência de cada mulher. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This research focused on the social reproduction of chauvinism and gender (dis)equality, taking as an empirical focus the students of the Technical Aesthetics course PROEJA, with the classes of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years, in 2018. In Brazil, the rates of violence against women are blatant and there are several attempts to set back the rights of Brazilian women. This set of factors helps to explain the relevance of research focused on themes of sexist culture, violence and gender inequalities. The main objectives of this research were (i) to map the main representations that the students of the Technical Aesthetic course PROEJA have about chauvinism, (ii) to identify and characterize the situations of chauvinism experienced by the students (iii) and to identify the representations about the effects and consequences of experienced chauvinism and gender inequality in their daily lives. An eminently qualitative and eclectic methodological strategy was defined, which privileged the following data collection instruments: questionnaire, semi-structured interviews and field diary. For the interview, the technique of oral life history was chosen, having as objective the narrative of the students' life experiences. The analysis pointed out that the representations were anchored and objectified in social, moral and biological theories that still sustain the myths of chauvinism and gender inequality. Also that these representations are in constant reelaboration, according to the experience of each woman. | pt_PT |
