Abstract(s)
Este trabalho é um relatório de projeto, realizado por iniciativa de uma estrangeira, no contexto imigratório da Europa de leste no Porto. Para atingir o objetivo da investigação, que foi conhecer e analisar este contexto, foram usadas técnicas de investigação-ação participativa: observação, conversas intencionais, entrevistas, questionários.
Ao longo da investigação foi estabelecido um contato mais forte com cinco imigrantes provenientes da Ucrânia e da Rússia, que enfrentam problemas, tais como o isolamento social, baixa auto-avaliação e auto-estima.
Tendo em consideração os problemas, foi desenvolvido um projeto com o principal objetivo de promover a maior integração e inserção dos participantes no ambiente que os rodeia e aumentar a sua autoconfiança. Foram programadas duas ações com várias atividades para realizar em grupo. O projeto foi nomeado “Juntos Podemos Mais” com a intenção de enfatizar a importância e eficácia do trabalho em grupo, bem como a pertinência do grupo para o indivíduo. Ao longo das discussões realizadas em grupo, da organização de eventos e festas, dos debates e dos exercícios de dinâmica de Grupo vivenciados, foi possível aumentar as áreas de identificação no grupo e a coesão interna, o que configurou o grupo como espaço de segurança e de confiança para os seus membros. Estes aspetos potenciaram as reflexões e as partilhas acerca dos quotidianos das pessoas e a descoberta, em conjunto, de algumas soluções para melhorar a sua realidade.
The present work consists of a project report conducted by a foreign student, in the context of Immigration from Eastern Europe into the city of Porto. In order to achieve the main objective of the investigation, which is to know and analyse this context, several techniques of participatory action research were conducted such as: observation, intentional conversations, interviews and questionnaires. During the investigation process it was established a strong contact with five immigrants originally from Ukraine and Russia who are facing issues such as social isolation, low self-evaluation, low self-esteem, among others. Taking into account the current situation of the study group, a project was developed in order to promote greater integration and social inclusion of participants into their environment, as well as to increase their self-confidence towards daily life hassles. Two actions were organized including various activities for applying them to the study group. The project was named “Juntos Podemos Mais” with the intention of emphasizing the importance and effectiveness of team work, as well as the relevance of the group for its members. Throughout the discussions in group, organization of cultural events, gatherings and exercises of group dynamics it was possible to increase the areas where the members indentified themselves with the group as a whole and the internal cohesion, which established the group as a safe and trustful space to its members. These aspects potentiated internal reflection, openness to share life experiences as well as helped them discover some solutions to improve their reality, together.
