Abstract(s)
A presente dissertação resultou de um desafio proposto pela Gisiotica – Projeto e Fabrico de Sistemas Mecânicos Lda. Que consistiu no desenvolvimento de uma unidade completa de aplicação sealant em pneus.
O recurso a esta tecnologia permite a vedação de furos no piso do pneu, sendo que, em caso de perfuração por objetos estranhos (pregos, por exemplo), não é necessário substituir o pneu de imediato porque os furos mantêm-se vedados, mesmo que o objeto se liberte do pneu.
Para o desenvolvimento do estudo desta tecnologia tornou-se necessário, numa fase inicial, conhecer melhor o pneu, nomeadamente a sua constituição e processo de fabrico. Tendo a base do estudo bem assente, de seguida fez-se a pesquisa do produto em causa (sealant), bem como os processos envolvidos na aplicação manual ou automatizada deste em pneus. Apesar de ser uma tecnologia bastante mencionada existe muito pouca informação no que diz respeito ao processo automatizado de aplicação assim como a composição de produto.
Após ter sido idealizado aquela que seria a melhor solução para o projeto obteve-se um grupo totalmente funcional, moderno e adaptável para o processo de aplicação de sealant em pneus de 15” a 24”, cujo custo estimado é de ------€. Este é composto por quatro estações totalmente automatizadas (manipulação, rotativa e de centragem, aplicação e dispensação), facilmente integradas com células de pré-aquecimento e arrefecimento da Gislotica, formando assim a unidade completa de aplicação do composto vedante requisitada pela empresa.
A acrescentar à solução projeta foram também apresentadas duas outras soluções que visam o aumento da cadência d pneus para o dobro e quádruplo, respectivamente, visto que se trata dum projeto modular, dando a possibilidade da configuração de diversos layouts.
Por último, foi também realizado o Manual de Instruções e Manutenção de todo o grupo de aplicação do sealant.
In the scope of the curricular unit of dissertation inserted in the second year of the masters engineering on the Superior Institute of Engineering at Porto, the development of a complete application unit of sealant in tires was developed, proposed by Gislotica -mechanical solutions. Resorting to this technology allows for the sealing of punctures in the tires, being that in cases of perforation by foreign objects (for instance, spikes) it isn't necessary to replace the tire immediately because the punctures stay sealed even if the object is freed from the tire. To the development of the study of this technology if you came necessary at an initial stage to get to know the tire better, namely its constitution and manufacturing process. Having the base of the study well founded, then a research of said product (sealant) was made, as well as the processes involved in its manual or automated application in tires. Despite being a highly mentioned technology there is little information regarding the automatized process of application as well as the composition of the product. With the theory finalized it was idealized what would be the best solution to the application of sealant in tires with a complete and totally automated unit, transposing it to mechanical project in cad software. At this stage there is the description of the stages involved and their respective components, having been considered at the end as completed the optimization of the proposed solution.
