Abstract(s)
O presente estudo tem como objetivo investigar o perfil dos investidores de criptomoedas
em Portugal, com foco nas características sociodemográficas e na literacia financeira. A
partir dos dados do IV inquérito disponibilizado pela Comissão do Mercado de Valores
Mobiliários (CMVM), foram analisadas as influências de variáveis como idade, género,
nível de escolaridade, rendimento e tolerância ao risco na posse de criptoativos. Os
resultados empíricos indicam que o perfil típico do investidor português de criptomoedas
é do género masculino e jovem adulto, e destacam a relevância da literacia financeira
subjetiva e objetiva como fatores determinantes na decisão de investimento. Este estudo
contribui para uma compreensão mais aprofundada do mercado de criptomoedas em
Portugal e sugere a promoção da educação financeira como uma ferramenta crucial para
capacitar os investidores e mitigar os riscos associados a esse tipo de investimento.
