This Internship Report (IR) is one of the assessment criteria for the Supervised Educational Practice (SEP) course unit of the Master's Degree in Preschool Education at the Porto School of Education (ESE), part of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (IPP). Through the preparation of this report, the training path undertaken by the master's student in educational settings, specifically in Early Childhood Education and Preschool Education, will become more explicit and objective, making it possible to understand the pedagogical decisions made by the master's student, who has developed a conscious, appreciative, reflective educational practice focused primarily on the child and the child's self-image as an active, participatory, and responsible agent. The pedagogical practice carried out in a real-world setting enabled the master's student not only to conduct research using the Action Research Methodology, but also to analyze, reflect on, and interpret the actions undertaken by the children and the educational team as a means of responding to the needs and interests of the group and of each child, thereby fostering increasingly dynamic and transformative pedagogical activities based on and grounded in pedagogical approaches that prioritize the child's active participation and value your voice. In this regard, and given that music has been the central theme of this report—in relation to children’s literature—it has become essential to explore these two areas alongside their intrinsic connection with other areas of experience, learning, and content, as a way to highlight and understand the fundamental role of music and literature in child development, taking into account the extreme importance of the different levels and stages of development
