Abstract(s)
This dissertation was developed in a semiconductor company, Amkor Technology Portugal S.A. and focused on the design, construction, and implementation of an information system with the capacity to support the performance of certain tasks that lacked the determination of a procedure. The determination of a procedure allows to avoid all the waste associated with the nonnormalization of work. Thus, two tasks were identified that needed this support: receiving orders and tracking goods in transit. In an initial phase, a survey of the current state was carried out and, subsequently, a survey of needs, requirements, and objectives for the tasks and for the system itself. It allowed creating a solid information base to initiate the development of the information system. We started by creating a database responsible for all data storage, as established in one of the requirements, and then the development of an interface that allows controlled access to the information in the database. The system created, database and interface, allowed the creation of a tool with functionalities such as registration of information on the receipt of orders, goods in transit, information consultation, notifications with informative character to improve day-to-day management, traceability and historical. After all the development, several scenarios were tested in order to avoid possible errors during the implementation. Finally, we proceeded with the implementation of the tool, which is stored in a location that is accessible to all users. The tool allows quick and clear access to the information necessary for the development of daily activities, reducing the time spent searching for orders / information, eliminating order losses, reducing damaged materials, allowing employees to better manage their time since informs arrivals and departures of crucial material for the production line.
