A indĂșstria automĂłvel necessita de constante inovação, para manter a elevada competitividade
e rigor que a caracteriza. Neste sector, todas as empresas que dele fazem parte, tĂȘm de apostar
na automatização dos processos, com o objetivo de os tornar mais rentåveis economicamente,
a longo prazo.
O conforto no automĂłvel tambem Ă© assegurado pelos bancos. Estes sĂŁo constituĂdos por uma
estrutura metĂĄlica soldada, molas, espumas e tecidos. Os coxins sĂŁo molas constituĂdas por
arame conformado e sobreinjetado que se situam na parte inferior dos bancos.
Existe uma grande variedade de equipamentos de dobragem de arame no mercado,
dependendo do produto a ser produzido, apresentando caracterĂsticas tĂ©cnicas especificas para
cada tipo de arame. Os equipamentos podem ser capazes de produzir arames conformados 2D
ou 3D com maior ou menor nĂvel de produtividade.
A dissertação aqui apresentada, foi realizada em contexto industrial na empresa FicoCables, na
ĂĄrea da Engenharia de Processos e Equipamentos, onde se desenvolveu e construiu um novo
equipamento de dobragem de arame para o processo de fabrico dos coxins.
Os requisitos para o equipamento desenvolvido implicavam possuir elevada flexibilidade e
produtividade na conformação dos arames utilizados nos coxins. Este equipamento é
fundamental para a competitividade da empresa, atendendo a que irå permitir uma diminuição
do custo de implementação de novos projetos de grande volume.
O projeto foi concluĂdo e implementado com sucesso, tendo este equipamento sido adotado
pela empresa como o novo standard de equipamentos para a dobragem de arame. Este trabalho
apresenta todas as etapas pelas quais passou o desenvolvimento deste projeto.
The automotive industry needs constant innovation to maintain the high competitiveness and rigor that characterizes it. In this sector, all companies that are part of it, must invest in the automation of processes, with the aim of making them more economically profitable in the long term. The comfort of the car is assured by the seats, which are made up of a welded metal structure, springs, foams, and fabrics. The cushions are springs made of shaped and over-injected wire that are located at the bottom of the seats. There is a wide variety of wire bending equipment on the market, which, depending on the product to be produced, have specific technical characteristics for each type of wire. Equipment may be capable of producing 2D or 3D shaped wire with higher or lower productivity levels. The dissertation presented here was conducted in an industrial context at the company FicoCables, in the area of Process and Equipment Engineering, where a new wire working equipment for the manufacturing process of the cushions was developed and built. The developed equipment would have to be flexible, and with high productivity in the production of the wires used in the cushions. This equipment is essential for the company's competitiveness in this product and should lower the cost of implementing new large-volume projects in future. The project was successfully completed and implemented, and this equipment was adopted by the company as the new standard in wire bending equipment. This work presents all the stages through which the development of this project passed.
