Abstract(s)
This work deals with the design and analysis of a log-periodic antenna for digital TV signal reception in Portugal and Brazil, which cover the frequency ranges of 470 MHz to 758 MHz, belonging to the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) spectrum. As the main characteristics of the antennas, such as radiation pattern, directivity, gain, efficiency and voltage standing wave ratio (VSWT), many specifications, one of which the log-periodic was chosen for an assembly. Different software has also been analyzed to find out which is most appropriate as modeling and analysis needs. Thus, following the theoretical calculations and antenna type particularities, all measurements of the antenna geometry, modeled on Computer Simulation Technology (CST) simulation software, were calculated and the results obtained were analyzed. After theoretical analysis and simulations, a prototype of the antenna was assembled and this one presented the expected results validating the techniques employed.
