No quadro legal em vigor são definidas as áreas de intervenção das Estruturas de Coordenação Educativa e Supervisão Pedagógica, sendo a articulação e gestão curricular assegurada por departamentos, numa partilha de responsabilidades e em processos de tomada de decisão partilhados. Assim, assume especial importância a participação dos professores na tomada de decisões pedagógicas. Neste trabalho procuramos abordar a participação dos professores na tomada de decisões pedagógicas no Departamento do 1º Ciclo, tendo em conta a cultura organizacional e o clima organizacional, as formas de participação e a cultura docente que influencia o trabalho dos professores e ainda refletimos sobre o papel do departamento na construção da cultura colaborativa e participativa. Numa metodologia de investigação qualitativa, estudo de caso, realizámos um estudo empírico para perceber o modo como os professores percecionam e perspetivam a participação na tomada de decisões pedagógicas no departamento do 1º ciclo, sendo proposto um plano de ação que procura dar resposta à questão de partida deste projeto.
In the current legislation, the fields of intervention of educational coordination and pedagogical supervision structures being the articulation and curricular management ensured by departments, through shared responsibility and decision-making process. Thus, it is particularly important for teachers to participate in making pedagogical decision. Our aim is to address the teachers’ participation in making pedagogical decisions in the primary schools department, bearing in mind organizational culture and organizational climate, participation and teaching culture which influences the work of teachers, as well as to ponder the role of department in building collaborative and participatory culture. In a qualitative researching methodology, study case, we have accomplished an empirical study to understand how teachers perceive and envisage participation in making pedagogical decisions in the primary schools department which led to a project that seeks to answer the starting question of this work.
