| dc.description.abstract | Este projecto de fotografia documental propõe a realização de um trabalho de pesquisa na Rua do Almada, uma rua importante na história do Porto, pois foi através dela que a cidade do Porto se começou a expandir geograficamente no século XIX. Esta rua conhecida como a rua dos ferreiros devido à sua forte actividade comercial nas ferragens, contribuía, fortemente, para a balança económica da cidade, era, igualmente, a morada de algumas famílias da aristocracia do Porto. Nos dias de hoje é considerada uma rua fria e escura por ser estreita e ladeada de prédios altos, muitos deles ao abandono apesar de haver uma tentativa de revitalização desta rua. Pretende-se com este projecto fazer uma representação desta rua dando-lhe uma nova percepção visual, pois a fotografia como meio de representação consegue dar mais informação do que qualquer outra forma de visualização da rua. Tecnicamente fotografa-se edifício a edifício desde o passeio e a rua até ao último andar “colando” as imagens com um software de computador e criando quatro imagens onde todas as fachadas dos edifícios fotografados são visíveis e relacionam-se entre elas, criando, assim, uma nova realidade da rua. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This documentary photography project proposes to develop a work in Rua do Almada, a very important street in the history of the city of Porto, because it was in this street that the city of Porto began to expand in the nineteenth century. Known as the street of the smiths due to its strong commercial activity in that area, contributed greatly to the economic balance of the city, this street was also home to some of the aristocratic families of Porto. Nowadays it is considered a cold and dark street because it is very narrow and flanked by tall buildings, many of them abandoned in spite of an attempt to revitalize this street. It is intended to make a representation of the street giving a new visual perception, because photography as a medium of representation can offer more information than any other way of viewing the street. Technically what was done was photograph building by building, shooting from the sidewalk and street to the Rooftop "pasting" the images with computer software and creating four images where all the photographed buildings facades are visible and relate to each other and thus create a new reality of the street. | pt_PT |
