| dc.description.abstract | O objectivo fundamental deste artigo é passar em revista as propostas que estão em negociação na TTIP, olhando para os argumentos a seu favor e para as críticas dos seus detractores. Para o efeito, faz-se uma breve contextualização das negociações no âmbito das relações atlânticas e é dada uma panorâmica das matérias em negociação. Depois, olha-se com algum detalhe para aspectos específicos da TTIP pela sua potencial relevância. É o caso da cooperação transatlântica em matéria de regulamentação e do recurso à arbitragem para os investidores internacionais. Aí será também feita uma reflexão sobre o seu previsível impacto na economia europeia e norte-americana. Por último, é ainda efectuado um escrutínio sintético à solidez da argumentação geopolítica a favor da TTIP e são feitas considerações sobre os obstáculos à conclusão do processo negocial. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The main objective of this article is to review the proposals in negotiation under the TTIP looking both at the arguments that favour the agreement, and to the criticism made by its detractors. To this end, there will be a brief contextualization within the framework of the Atlantic relations of the last decades, and an overview of the subjects under negotiation. Then, a view with some detail, to specific aspects of TTIP for its potential relevance. This is the case of transatlantic cooperation on regulation and recourse to arbitration for international investors. There will be also some reflections on the expected impact on European and US economy. Finally, there will be a brief scrutiny of the strength of geopolitical arguments that favour TTIP, and the obstacles to the future negotiations and the conclusion of the agreement. | |
