The tourism and hospitality sector has significantly evolved in recent years, with both public and private entities realizing its impact on local development and the country itself. Attracting tourists involves creating unique experiences, something that can be greatly enhanced through the use of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), especially for digital marketing and e-commerce. Actually, ICT allowed businesses to reach a wider target audience and has significantly contributed to the sector’s rapid growth. However, the use of ICT also presents risks for the various stakeholders involved. As the sector becomes highly dependent on digital platforms, it also becomes more vulnerable to cyberattacks. The widespread use of AI and IoT devices, both by individuals and in smart cities, further increases these risks. This paper examines the dangers associated with the use of ICT in the tourism and hospitality sector, from the perspective of tourists and service providers, highlighting possible privacy breaches, improper access to personal data, and fraud.por
