Em qualquer organização, é importante monitorizar os seus processos de negócio e a sua evolução, para que estes assegurem o sucesso da mesma. Numa organização que se dedica à comercialização de produtos a retalho, para que consiga acompanhar essas evoluções e os movimentos dos seus concorrentes, surge constantemente a necessidade de melhorar os seus atuais processos, tornando-os mais eficientes para que prevaleçam perante a concorrência. Atualmente, um comercial da organização, na qual se insere este trabalho de mestrado, efetua o registo das suas vendas através do preenchimento de um ficheiro excel. Para proceder ao processamento desta venda, este tem que fazer chegar o documento criado a um armazenista, que por sua vez terá que dar seguimento ao processo de venda. Este comercial, de toda a vez que tem a necessidade de executar ações de sumário ou de apresentação de resultados, tem também que, realizar manualmente todas as operações que achar necessário para obter a informação pretendida. Definiram-se então os objetivos para a criação de uma solução para o registo, armazenamento, manutenção e análise dos dados gerados pelas ações quotidianas desta organização. Inicialmente, fez-se um levantamento do estado da arte, apresentando alguns conceitos essenciais à compreensão do tema desta dissertação, estudando possíveis arquiteturas e ferramentas possíveis de adotar na solução (ferramentas de apoio à gestão, ferramentas capazes de gerir e armazenar os dados gerados no quotidiano da mesma, e ferramentas de apresentação e análise de dados). Neste contexto, é apresentada uma possível solução para o problema descrito, solução esta capaz de resolver as insuficiências quanto ao registo das atividades de negócio da organização, tendo também a capacidade de gerir elevadas quantidade de dados e efetuar a sua respetiva manutenção quanto ao histórico. A solução contempla também a necessidade da análise aos dados que armazena, disponibilizando para o efeito um conjunto de análises definidas de acordo com as necessidades identificadas.
In any organization, it is important to monitor the business processes and their evolution to ensure success. In an organization that markets retail products, so that it can keep up with these developments and follow the movements of its competitors, there is an endless need to improve its current processes, making them more efficient, to prevail towards competition. Currently, a commercial from the organization, where this master’s work is inserted, records his sales by filling in an excel file. To process this sale, the file must reach a storekeeper who will have to follow up the sale process. This commercial, whenever he needs to perform summary actions or results presentation, also has to manually perform all the operations he deems necessary to obtain the desired information. The objectives were defined as the creation of a solution for the recording, storing, maintaining and analysing the data generated by the daily actions of this organization. Initially, a state-of-the-art survey is presented, showing some essential concepts for understanding the theme of this dissertation, studying possible architectures and possible tools to adopt in the solution (management support tools, tools capable of managing and storing the data generated in this organization, presentation and data analysis tools). In this context, a possible solution to the described problem is presented, a solution capable of solving the insufficiencies regarding the registration of the business activities of the organization, as well as able to manage large amounts of data and to maintain them as its history. The solution also addresses the need for analysis of the data it stores, providing a set of analyzes defined according to the identified needs.
