No contexto atual de forte concorrência e competitividade entre empresas, o projeto desta dissertação resulta da necessidade da empresa Amorim Cork melhorar a gestão do armazém de material não-cortiça de forma a reduzir custos de capital imobilizado, prevenir roturas, reduzir os dias de cobertura do stock existente, e garantir a disponibilidade de material ao processo produtivo, recorrendo ao seu sistema de informação recentemente implementado, o SAP. Qualquer alteração que se pretenda fazer a nível da gestão do armazém, necessita de uma análise profunda prévia e de um controlo por todos os intervenientes. O objetivo desta dissertação passa pela implementação da ferramenta MRP no armazém de material não cortiça da Amorim Cork no sistema SAP S/4HANA. Para organizar as etapas de implementação, recorreu-se à metodologia DMAIC (Definir, Medir, Analisar, Implementar, Controlar). Com esta implementação foi possível obter uma gestão dos stocks menos empírica, como a realizada até ao momento, automatizada e muito mais precisa. Com base nos indicadores de desempenho utilizados, foi possível obter uma melhor noção do que estava a favorecer ou prejudicar a empresa, e controlar de que forma a evolução da implementação do MRP viria a melhorar a gestão de stocks do armazém central da Amorim Cork.
In the current context of strong competition and competitiveness between companies, the project of this dissertation results from the need of Amorim Cork company to improve the management of the non-cork material warehouse in order to reduce fixed capital costs, prevent ruptures, reduce the days of coverage of existing stock, and ensure the availability of material to the production process, using its newly implemented information system, SAP. Any change that is intended to be made in the management of the warehouse, requires a thorough analysis and control by all stakeholders. The objective of this dissertation is the implementation of the MRP tool in Amorim Cork's non-cork material warehouse in the SAP S/4HANA system. To organize the implementation steps, the DMAIC methodology (Define, Measure, Analyze, Implement, Control) was used. With this implementation it was possible to obtain a less empirical stock management, such as that carried out so far, automated and much more accurate. Based on the performance indicators used, it was possible to obtain a better notion of what was favoring or harming the company, and to control how the evolution of the MRP implementation would improve the stock management of Amorim Cork's central warehouse.
