La presente investigación aborda la práctica del doubling entre el bombardino y la trompeta baja, una combinación instrumental poco estudiada en el ámbito de los instrumentos de viento metal.
Mediante una revisión bibliográfica y un estudio empírico basado en la experiencia de intérpretes especializados y en la práctica artística vinculada al recital, se analizan los principales desafíos técnicos e interpretativos de esta práctica. A partir de estos elementos, se elabora una guía práctica que sistematiza estrategias y recursos para facilitar la transición entre ambos instrumentos. Esta guía constituye la documentación del trabajo realizado durante la investigación y se fundamenta tanto en la literatura especializada como en la experiencia obtenida a través del proceso de estudio y de las aportaciones de los encuestados. El estudio contribuye a ampliar el conocimiento sobre el doubling y plantea futuras líneas de investigación.
This research examines the practice of doubling between the euphonium and the bass trumpet, an instrumental combination that has received little attention in the field of brass instruments. Through a literature review and an empirical study based on surveys conducted with specialized performers, as well as the documentation and analysis of my own artistic process of developing doubling skills, the main technical and interpretative challenges associated with this practice are identified. Based on these findings, a practical guide is developed, systematizing strategies, exercises, and resources to facilitate the transition between both instruments. This guide documents the work carried out throughout the research and is grounded in both the existing literature and the experience gained through the study process and the contributions of the survey participants. The study contributes to expanding the current knowledge of doubling between the euphonium and the bass trumpet and proposes directions for future research.
