The present study aims to analyze the logistics processes of a company in the food sector and identify opportunities for improvement in Outbound and Inbound transportation flows. In the context of Outbound transportation, the process of contracting carriers was developed and monitored through the preparation of a Tender, which made it possible to collect and compare proposals based on multiple important criteria, such as cost, reliability, and flexibility, a project managed by the student within the company. In parallel, several cases from a transportation budget projected for 2026 were analyzed, which served as a basis to identify opportunities for optimizing transportation costs according to customer location, shipment frequency, quantities dispatched, and other relevant variables. Regarding Inbound, an analysis of the cost structure and main inefficiencies was carried out, with the aim of proposing improvement strategies related to raw material collections, supplier negotiations, load consolidation, and lead time management. The objective of this study is to provide practical recommendations for the transportation management of the company under analysis, while contributing to the academic literature on transportation, logistics procurement, and cost optimization in supply chains within the food sector.
