Exploro neste projeto a questão da fisicalidade formal do alerta – através do resgate de resíduos da indústria têxtil, responsabilizada por representar uma das maiores poluentes mundiais, em consequência da globalização e do aumento do consumo acelerado. Pretendo questionar a temática da sustentabilidade através da manipulação de vestígios invisíveis do processo industrializado da construção do vestuário, considerando a questão morfológica da sua existência. Utilizando como ponto de partida a personagem profética de Cassandra – subtraída da mitologia grega.
Para sustentar o deslocamento espectral e objetual do figurino, na procura da sua teatralidade, chego a uma encenação impossível para questionar o lugar do figurinista na produção do gestus social numa produção artística.
In this project, I explore the issue of the formal physicality of the alert – through the salvage of waste from the textile industry, one of the biggest pollutants in the world, because of globalization and an accelerated increase in consumption. I intend to question the theme of sustainability through the manipulation of invisible traces of the industrialized process of clothing manufacture, thus considering the morphological issue of its existence. My starting point is the prophetic character of Cassandra – exerted from Greek mythology. To sustain the spectral and objectual displacement of the costume, in the search for its theatricality, I arrived at an impossible staging to question the place of the costume designer in the production of the social gestus in an artistic production.
