A tribologia exerce um papel crucial no estudo das interações que ocorrem num contacto mecânico sob diversas condições de funcionamento. Cada vez mais é importante entender o comportamento dos materiais e dos lubrificantes submetidos a contactos, de forma a prever danos nos equipamentos. Para isso, são utilizados equipamentos denominados por tribómetros para estudar os vários contactos mecânicos e estudar novas condições de contactos. Este trabalho consiste no projeto de um tribómetro do tipo disco-disco versátil, robusto e fácil de operar. O equipamento permite realizar ensaios lineares e elípticos entre dois materiais distintos com cargas até 500 N, velocidade lineares até 3 m/s e permite realizar ensaios lubrificados por chapinagem ou lubrificação pressurizada no contacto.
Tribology plays a crucial role in the study of the interactions in mechanical contacts in various operating conditions. It is increasingly important to understand the behavior of materials and lubricants submitted to contacts, to predict damage to equipment. For this, equipment called tribometers are using to study the various mechanical contacts and study new contact conditions. This work consists in the project of a tribometer of the twin disc type versatile, robust and easy to operate. The equipment allows to perform linear and elliptical tests between two different materials with loads up to 500 N, linear velocity up to 3 m/s and allows to perform tests lubricated by churning or pressurized lubrication on contact.
