Abstract(s)
This Master's Project Report aims to investigate teacher’s motivation in the context of private education, through a case study in a specific organization. Teacher’s motivation is underlying the development of effective pedagogical practices and for achieving positive results in the teaching-learning process. This study aims to identify the factors that promote teacher’s motivation in the context of private education and in this particular organization, trying to understand how they can affect professional and personal satisfaction, as well as the sense of self efficacy on teachers work. The empirical study will be carried out using qualitative and quantitative approaches, using semi-structured interview surveys, questionnaire surveys and direct observations to collect data from the management, coordinators, and teachers of the selected institution. Intrinsic aspects will be explored, such as identification with the institution's values and purposes and the feeling of professional fulfillment, as well as extrinsic factors, such as remuneration, rewards, working conditions, autonomy and opportunities for professional development. It’s hoped that this case study will offer significant insights into the specific motivational aspects that influence teachers in the context of private education and the particular organization in question. In addition, it is expected an understanding of how these elements can contribute to the creation of a more stimulating work environment, conducive to the professional development of teachers. The results obtained will serve as a basis for the development of an action plan containing strategies that promote teacher motivation, aiming at increasing the satisfaction of the professionals involved and the consequent improvement in the quality of educational service provision.
