Abstract(s)
motor.
This work focuses on integrating the nautical sensors of the sailboat "Portucale," owned by the Associação de Navegadores Oceânicos, with the NMEA 2000® standard, which is widely used in recreational boating. The implementation of this standard will enable the management of signals from the diesel engine sensors and other onboard equipment, many of which operate with outdated standards. An in-depth study was conducted on the NMEA 0183® and NMEA 2000® standards, with a focus on unifying communication systems to improve the interoperability and efficiency of navigation systems. Technologically and economically optimized network configuration solutions were developed, specifically tailored to the needs of recreational vessels. Based on the selected solution, a conceptual project was developed, including an analysis of the main characteristics of integrated navigation systems, as well as the evaluation of signals from various nautical devices. The implementation was carried out in phases, with an initial stage dedicated to testing compatible equipment onboard, followed by a second phase in the laboratory, where the network and engine sensors were simulated.
