O presente projeto versa sobre a análise interpretativa do Ciclo para piano e canto "Tristes Cantigas de Amor" do compositor Mário de Sousa Santos. Este trabalho, desenvolvido no âmbito do curso de Mestrado em Interpretação Artística, configura-se como um dos primeiros contributos académicos que visam dar a conhecer o compositor Mário de Sousa Santos, tendo por base a investigação biográfica do autor e das suas composições profanas para piano e canto. Aqui, debruçámo-nos sobre um dos seus ciclos que, até à data, nunca foi executado na sua totalidade e que estava disperso carecendo de edição urgente. Neste projeto procurámos fazer uma abordagem performativa do Ciclo em análise tendo em conta algumas considerações interpretativas.
The current study addresses the performative analysis of the song-cycle for voice and piano "Tristes Cantigas de Amor" by the composer Mário de Sousa Santos. This work, developed as part of the Master's course in Artistic Interpretation, represents one of the first academic contributions aimed at making the composer Mário de Sousa Santos known, based on the biographical investigation of the author and his profane compositions for piano and voice. Here, we examined one of his song-cycles which, until now, has never been executed in its entirety and which was dispersed and in need of urgent editing. In this study we tried to make a performative approach to the song-cycle under analysis taking into account some interpretative considerations.
