Abstract(s)
A monitorização da temperatura nos quadros de distribuição de alta e média tensão tem um papel cada vez mais importante para a proteção contra danos de falha catastrófica, para a prevenção de interrupções dispendiosas e para a segurança dos técnicos e responsáveis pela manutenção dos equipamentos. Além disso, monitorizar a temperatura de partes críticas dos quadros de distribuição pode aumentar a eficiência de transmissão da energia. Este tipo de quadros distribui correntes elétricas que atingem valores bastante elevados e, assim, é suscetível que haja um sobreaquecimento dos barramentos do quadro. O trabalho descrito no presente relatório descreve, concentra-se e utiliza sensores sem fios, passivos, usando a tecnologia de ondas acústicas de superfície (SAW). Esta é uma solução inovadora que permite a monitorização e diagnóstico em ambientes críticos, sem as desvantagens das soluções tradicionais. Uma das principais vantagens da leitura sem fio é a sua operação totalmente passiva, ou seja, não requerem baterias ou outra fonte de alimentação. Isto resulta na redução dos custos de manutenção, do peso e das dimensões do sensor, aspetos importantes para equipamentos a serem integrados nestes quadros. A solução proposta permite a monitorização da temperatura nos quadros de média tensão Normacel, uma gama de produtos da Efacec, e extensível e aplicável a outras gamas de quadros elétricos.
Monitoring the temperature of medium and high voltage switchgear is proving to be a very important diagnostic for the protection of switchgear from catastrophic failure damage, for the prevention of expensive outages, and for the safety of switchgear technicians & maintenance personnel. In addition, monitoring the temperature of critical parts of the switchgear can increase the energy transmission efficiency. Switchgear distributes electrical current which can rise to a few thousand amperes and thus heat up the switchgear busbars. The work described in this report describes, focuses on, and utilizes wireless, passive, sensors using surface acoustic wave (SAW) technology. This is an innovative solution that allows monitoring and diagnosis in critical environments and allows the replacement of traditional solutions. One key advantage of wirelessly read SAW sensors is their completely passive operation, meaning that, it does not require batteries or other power supply. This results in reduced maintenance costs, weight and dimensions of the sensor, important aspects for equipment to be integrated in these switchgears. This solution enables temperature monitoring in Normacel medium voltage switchgears, a range of Efacec products, and is extensible and applicable to other types of switchgears.
