Abstract(s)
técnicos e científicos adquiridos e consolidados no decurso desta experiência profissional. Este
relatório descreve as atividades realizadas durante o estágio curricular integrado no Mestrado
complementam a componente prática do estágio.
The main objective of this document is to systematically describe the activities carried out during the internship period, as well as to highlight the technical and scientific knowledge acquiredand consolidated during this professional experience. This reportdescribes the activities carried out during the curricular internship integrated into the Master's Degreein Civil Engineering at the Higher Institute of Engineering of Porto (ISEP). The internship, carried out in a business context, lasted six months, running from February to July 2025, and was carried out at the company Telhabel Construções,S.A. The main objective of this experience was to obtain a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, specialising in Construction. The internship took place at the Torre Paço de Rei development in Vila Nova de Gaia, where the intern was integrated into the construction management team. Initially, contact was made with the construction site, including learning about the project, analysing technical documentation and observing the work planning. This was followed by detailed monitoring of the execution phase of the specialised works, namely masonry, adjustments, HVAC, hydraulic networks, electrical installations, SCIE, façade elements and exterior finishes. Later, the intern took on more active roles as assistant construction manager, assisting in the control of execution, the supervision of contractors and subcontractors, the management of materials, and the monitoring of teams in the field. Finally, he participated in resolving non-conformities and technical challenges that arose during the work, developing decision-making, deadline management, and communication skills among the various stakeholders. This document presents the theoretical foundations that serve as a basis for and complement the practical component of the internship. Firstly, emphasis is placed on the role of construction management, namely its role and responsibilities in the life cycle of a project. Subsequently, atheoretical framework of the phases of a construction project is presented, with an emphasis on the phases monitored by the intern. The practical aspects referred to in this document include the presentation and description of the building, activities monitored during the internship period. It also details the duties assigned to the intern as assistant construction manager and some of the challenges he overcame. This work thus establishes a bridge between academic training and the practical experience acquired during the curricular internship in the field of civil engineering and enabled the acquisition of knowledge in mechanical and electrical installations.
