Com este artigo pretende-se contar a histĂłria e o impacto da cultura otaku (cultura pop japonesa) na sociedade ocidental, com principal ĂȘnfase nas relaçÔes JapĂŁo-Estados Unidos da AmĂ©rica e ainda com uma pequena ĂȘnfase no efeito desta subcultura em Portugal. Durante o artigo abordar-se-ĂŁo temas histĂłricos e actuais sobre o que levou ao desenvolvimento desta subcultura, como a histĂłria Japonesa, o desenvolvimento pĂłs-guerra do JapĂŁo, a influĂȘncia americana no anime japonĂȘs e posterior influĂȘncia japonesa nos cartoons americanos, o desenvolvimento do cinema japonĂȘs com o gĂ©nero tokusatsu, entre muitos outros.
With this article the author tries to tell the history and the impact of the otaku culture (Japanese pop culture) in the western society, being the main emphasis the Japan-United States relations, and the secondary emphasis the effect of this subculture in Portugal. The article will address historical and contemporary themes which led to the development of this subculture: the Japanese history, the post-war development of Japan, the American influence in the Japanese anime and late Japanese influence in the 2 American cartoon, the development of Japanese cinema with the tokusatsu film gender, among many others.
