Os moldes para a injeção de plástico são uma das principais cavidades na área da metalomecânica em Portugal, sendo a sua qualidade reconhecida mundialmente. Na última década, a injeção multimaterial tem assumido uma importância crescente.
Na génese deste trabalho esteve a necessidade de projeto e construção de um molde para duas peças com características especiais, o que permitiu o desenvolvimento deste trabalho e acompanhamento no terreno das diferentes operações de produção.
Tendo sempre em atenção o caderno de encargos do molde, iniciou-se o projeto com a definição de machos, cavidades e movimentos e dos respetivos materiais e seleção de componentes normalizados.
Após realização de ensaios e deteção de problemas com o molde, estes foram devidamente corrigidos e, no final, com o molde afinado, obteve-se as peças com a qualidade exigida pelo cliente.
The production of molds for plastic injection is one of the most important activities regarding the metalworking Portuguese industry, being its quality recognized worldwide. In the last decade, multi-material injection has assumed an increasingly importance. In the genesis of this this work was the necessity to design and manufacture one mould for two parts with special characteristics, which allow de development of this project and corresponding attention to the production operations on the shop floor. Bearing in mind the mold specifications, began the project with the definition of the cores, cavities and movements and the respective materials and selection of standard components. After testing and detecting the problems with the mold, they were duly corrected and at the end, with the refined mold, we achieved the quality required by the customer
