Abstract(s)
Este trabalho de Dissertação tem como objetivo abrir uma discussão sobre a profissão do/a
Gestor/a do Património- um profissional que, entre outras competências, radica o seu raio de
ação para que a Memória e a Identidade, inerentes ao Património, sejam salvaguardadas,
preservadas, divulgadas, inventariadas e registadas, através de ações que promovam a proteção
e o respeito. Para tal, delineou-se um caminho que, sob o nosso olhar, trouxesse lógica e sentido
para a discussão que procuramos levantar. Nesse sentido, essa discussão tem como base o
panorama da classificação do Património Cultural em Portugal; a história da Licenciatura em
Gestão do Património, lecionada pela Escola Superior de Educação (ESE) do Politécnico do Porto
(P. PORTO); o Mestrado em Património, Artes e Turismo Cultural - enquanto veículo de
especialização - também pela mesma Instituição; a Associação Portuguesa de Gestores do
Património Cultural (APGPC); o Código Deontológico dos Gestores do Património Cultural e as
investigações no campo da Sociologia das profissões. Assim, procuramos analisar e compreender
a profissão, tentando identificar caminhos para o futuro da mesma, salvaguardando a sua
valorização e reconhecimento.
This Dissertation aims to open a discussion about the profession of the Heritage Manager - a professional who, among other competencies, roots h is action radius so that Memory and ldentity, inherent to Heritage, are safeguarded, preserved, disclosed, inventoried and registered, through actions that promote protection and respect. Therefore, a path was outlined that, from ou r point of view, would bring logic and meaning to the discussion we seek to raise. ln this sense, this discussion is based on the panorama of Cultural Heritage classification in Portugal; the history of the Degree in Heritage Management, taught by the School of Education (ESE) of the Polytechnic of Porto (P. PORTO); the Master in Cultural Heritage, Arts, and Tourism- as a specialization vehicle -ais o by the sarne institution; the Portuguese Association of Cultural Heritage Managers (APGPC); the Code of Ethics for Cultural Heritage Managers and research in the field of Sociology of professions. Thus, we seek to analyze and understand the profession, looking to identify paths for its future, safeguarding its valorization and recognition.
