Documentar e construir memória é uma aspiração universal essencial a todos os povos. O cinema de não-ficção é um dos veículos óbvios para o materializar. Fazê-lo com sentido ético é respeitar não só a sua evocação, mas também aqueles que utilizamos para a verbalizar como participantes nos nossos filmes e aqueles que a recebem e a interpretam como audiência.
O olhar subjectivo do indivíduo como autor é ao mesmo tempo um acto interventivo e político. Se esse olhar sobre o mundo for autobiográfico e na primeira pessoa, pode proporcionar às audiências uma visão intimista de factos históricos relevantes. À nossa mundivisão poderão então ser somadas outras vindas de uma míriade de diferentes perspectivas e pontos de vista, o que contribuirá por certo para uma visão múltipla e multiplicada desses mesmos factos históricos relevantes.
To document and to build memory is an universal aspiration essential to all people. Non-fiction cinema is one of the obvious vehicles to materialize it. To do it with ethic sense is to respect not only its evocation, but also those who we use to verbalize it as participants in our movies and those who receive and interpret it as an audience. The subjective gaze of the individual as an author is at the same time an interventional and political act. If that gaze over the world is autobiographical and in the first tense, it could provide to the audiences an intimate vision of relevant historical facts. To our vision of the world, it could be added others from a lot of different perspectives and points of view, what for sure will give an contribute to a multiple and multiplied vision of those same relevant historical facts.
