Abstract(s)
This report was written during the course "Supervised Teaching Practice" of the Master's Degree in Teaching Music Education in Basic Education at the Escola Superior de Educação do Porto. In the first chapter a description of the schools and the contexts where the observation of educational practices were carried out, as well as a reflection on the practices observed is presented. The second chapter consists in the characterization of the class with which the Supervised Teaching Practice was carried out and a reasoned reflection regarding the methodological options and the difficulties encountered. The moments of reflection and the sharing of experiences were essential for the evolution and framing of the practices with the characteristics and with the competences of the students. In the third chapter the research project intitled "Musical development of students through Active Musical Hearing" is presented. This project intends to understand the ability of the students to apply the skills developed in the audition of musical excerpts in other musical examples. This research was carried out in two classes of the 6th year of the Augusto Gil Basic School and revealed that the students demonstrate difficulties in the auditory identification of musical aspects, regardless the pedagogical strategies used for their learning. In this project, several questions have arisen that can influence the educational practices of Music Education classes. In the end, a reflection is made on the whole course and on the changes identified in the educational practices of the master student.
