Atualmente, com o mercado cada vez mais competitivo torna-se imprescindível a melhoria dos processos existentes, de forma a torná-los mais eficazes e eficientes, de forma a que as empresas singrem num mundo global. Este trabalho, foi desenvolvido em contexto empresarial, na empresa Saint-Gobain Abrasivos, na área de qualidade e melhoria de processo, onde se analisaram processos de conversão de matéria-prima, se verificaram pontos de desperdício no processo produtivo, realizou-se um ficheiro de cálculo que permite distinguir os dois tipos de desperdício gerado, tendo-se analisado a família com desperdício mais elevado e por fim, realizado a otimização do corte dessa família. Assim, durante o estágio, foi realizado um ficheiro em MS EXCEL®, que permite calcular o desperdício técnico e produtivo mensal, gerado por cada uma das famílias de produtos. Após a realização deste ficheiro, foi feita uma análise da família onde o desperdício era mais elevado, e com o auxílio de um software de Nesting, foram criadas várias combinações de corte, de forma a maximizar a taxa de aproveitamento de matéria-prima e, seguidamente, foi criado um novo MS EXCEL®, que permite, mediante indicação do número de discos a cortar e os respetivos diâmetros, obter qual a melhor combinação a utilizar. Com a criação destas combinações, foi possível aumentar a eficiência de corte das placas em praticamente 10%, permitindo também a diminuição da quantidade de material enviado para aterro.
Currently, with the market increasingly competitive, it is essential to improve existing processes, in order to make them more effective and efficient, so that companies can move in a global world. This work was developed in a business context, at the company Saint-Gobain Abrasivos, in the area of quality and process improvement, where raw material conversion processes were analyzed, waste points were found in the production process, and an application was created, which allows the corresponding calculations which are crucial to distinguish the two types of waste generated, analyzing the family with the highest waste and, finally, optimizing the cut of that family. Therefore, during the internship, an Excel® file was created, which allows calculating the monthly technical and productive waste generated by each of the product families. After the completion of this file, an analysis of the family where the waste was higher was carried out, and with the help of a Nesting software, several cutting combinations were created in order to maximize the rate of use of raw material and then a new Excel®, which allows, by indicating the number of discs to be cut and their respective diameters, to obtain the best combination to use.
