Este projeto divide-se em duas partes distintas. A primeira tem como objetivo descrever o trabalho de tradução realizado para o Exército Português, principalmente na Academia Militar e, como intérprete, no acompanhamento de delegações em Portugal e no Estrangeiro.
É feita consideração sobre o trabalho de tradutor e intérprete: como surgiu, a sua evolução.
A segunda parte refere-se ao trabalho de docência de inglês no Instituto Superior de Educação e Ciências (ISEC-Lisboa), indicando-se as razões para a pertinência de incluir o estudo da língua inglesa em cursos
de carácter tecnológico e científico. Apresenta-se uma breve história da carreira de professor em Portugal e da evolução da língua inglesa.
Foi submetido um questionário aos alunos, tendo sido as respostas analisadas sumariamente e incluídas neste estudo

The second part refers to the teaching of English at the Instituto Superior de Educação e Ciências (ISEC-Lisbon), indicating the reasons for including the study of the English language in technological and scientific courses. A brief history of the teaching career in Portugal is presented, as well as the evolution of the English language. A questionnaire was made to the students; the answers were summarily analyzed and included in this study.
