O presente ensaio visa explicitar o desenvolvimento da função da direção
de produção na curta-metragem UMBRAL do Mestrado em cinema e
fotografia — Especialização em Cinema de Ficção da Escola Superior de Media
Artes e Design (ESMAD) do Politécnico do Porto (P. Porto).
A primeira parte é composta por um corpus teórico, que versará sobre
temáticas relacionadas com a pertinência do produtor no
desenvolvimento de um filme, assim como a ligação do departamento de
produção aos diversos departamentos.
A parte prática consistirá na descrição de metodologias adotadas pela produção
nas diferentes fases do filme, nomeadamente a gestão dos atores no
set e a gestão da equipa atendendo ao género de filme em causa (terror).
This essay aims to explain the development of the role of production direction in the short film UMBRAL, from the Master's degree in cinema and photography — Specialization in Fiction Cinema at the Escola Superior de Media Artes e Design (ESMAD) at the Polytechnic of Porto (PPorto ) . The first part consists of a theoretical corpus that will discuss issues related to the producer's relevance in the development of a film, as well as the connection between the production department and different departments. The practical part vvill consist of describing the methodologies adopted by the production in the different phases of the film, namely the management of the actors on the set and the management of the team that serves the film genre in question (horror).
