| dc.description.abstract | A presente dissertação foi desenvolvida no âmbito do mestrado em Engenharia Civil, com especialização em Gestão da Construção, no Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), integrado ao Instituto Politécnico do Porto (IPP). Neste contexto, este trabalho tem como objetivo verificar o grau de conhecimento e implementação de uma metodologia de gestão visando o sucesso e otimização dos projetos de engenharia civil. A metodologia em questão, conhecida como Last Planner System (LPS), é baseada nos conceitos do Lean Construction e foi criada nos anos de 1990. No entanto, até os dias atuais, tais conceitos não são amplamente conhecidos em Portugal, o que motivou a realização de um inquérito para verificar o grau de conhecimento dos conceitos Lean no setor da Arquitetura, Engenharia, Construção e Operação (AECO), e o grau de aplicação desses conceitos por meio de algumas metodologias, incluindo o LPS. Também foi avaliado o grau de conhecimento sobre o LPS por meio do número de publicações científicas relacionadas à temática do Lean Construction no Brasil, com o propósito de realizar uma comparação entre os dois países irmãos. Num segundo momento, foi desenvolvido um Guia Prático de Apoio ao Uso do Método Last Planner System. O objetivo deste guia prático é fornecer um recurso abrangente e de fácil utilização para os técnicos da construção civil interessados em implementar o método LPS e apoiar os stakeholders da construção na obtenção de resultados de empreendimentos mais eficientes, colaborativos e bem sucedidos. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The present dissertation was developed in the context of a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Construction Management, at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), which is part of the Instituto Politécnico do Porto (IPP). The purpose of this work is to verify the degree of knowledge and implementation of a management methodology aimed at ensuring the success of civil engineering projects. This methodology, known as the Last Planner System (LPS), is based on the concepts of Lean Construction, and was created in the 1990s. However, even to this day, there are not many experts in Portugal who are familiar with these concepts. In order to address this issue, a survey was initially conducted to determine the level of knowledge of Lean concepts and the extent to which these concepts are applied through some methodologies, including LPS. In addition, the degree of knowledge was assessed by analyzing the number of scientific publications related to Lean Construction in Brazil, for the purpose of comparing them between these two sister countries. Subsequently, a Practical Guide to Support the Use of the Last Planner System Method was developed. The objective of this guide is to provide a comprehensive and easy-to-use resource for construction technicians who are interested in implementing the LPS method.
