Abstract(s)
Scopus e Web of Science.
e colaboração impulsiona a inovação, criando valor e vantagem competitiva.
Due to the increasing globalization, markets are undergoing significant transformations, among which it has been observed that intellectual capital has taken on a central role in organizations. To maintain competitiveness in this volatile environment, companies need to adopt strategies such as collaboration. In this sense, this dissertation aims to present the state of the art and provide clues for future research on the importance of intellectual capital in the context of interorganizational collaboration. The PRISMA guidelines were followed, selecting a sample of 33 articles filtered through Scopus and Web of Science databases. The results suggest that the combination of intellectual capital and collaboration drives innovation, creating value and competitive advantage. The use of information and communication technologies can further strengthen this relationship. Despite the challenges, collaboration between universities and industries, as well as non profit entities, can result in knowledge, experience, and skill transfer. Trust and commitment emerge as essential concepts for the success of the relationship between intellectual capital and collaboration. In addition to these concepts, innovation was also identified as closely related to the analyzed articles. The research implications suggest the need to expand the sample and diversify research topics. Furthermore, future investigations can explore the impact of intellectual capital at an individual level on the members of collaborating companies and how this affects the overall results of collaboration. Considering the current scenario, it would also be interesting to investigate how intellectual capital can be created and managed (in the context of collaboration) in the so-called Society 5.0. Finally, this study offers valuable insights for organizational managers looking to promote collaboration and enhance their intellectual capital management. To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to synthesize the interconnectedness between intellectual capital and interorganizational collaboration.
