Abstract(s)
O fenómeno da violência escolar está ligado por fatores culturais, históricos e geográficos, que afetam toda a comunidade escolar. Desta forma, para compreender este fenómeno, optou-se por estudar e investigar, ao nível do ensino secundário, em dois agrupamentos escolares e duas escolas não agrupadas, da área metropolitana de Lisboa. Os dados foram recolhidos através de um inquérito por questionário online junto de 1113 alunos do ensino secundário (11º e/ou 12º ano de escolaridade) dos quatro estabelecimentos de ensino e ainda realizadas entrevistas a quatro diretores dos mesmos espaços escolares, sendo estes órgãos de gestão escolar. Depois de analisados os dados dos questionários através do software SPSS e os dados das entrevistas através de análise de conteúdo, verificou-se que as situações de violência que mais vivenciam são a humilhação, a exclusão do grupo e a agressão, sendo que estas ocorrem sobretudo nas redes sociais e no recinto escolar. Os colegas foram quem mais assistiram a estas situações, predominando a indiferença (“assistiram passivamente”). Tanto os diretores, quanto a maioria dos alunos estão cientes do Estatuto do Aluno, sendo que estes últimos participaram em atividades promovidas por outras entidades para fomentar o civismo e o bem-estar. Todos os participantes conhecem o Programa Escola Segura da PSP e sentem-se mais seguros com a presença dos Agentes da Escola Segura no espaço escolar ou junto deste. Concluem que é importante aumentar as ações de sensibilização como estratégia para a prevenção da violência escolar.
The phenomenon of school violence is linked by cultural, historical and geographical factors, which affect the entire school community. Thus, to study and understand the phenomenon, it was decided to investigate, at the level of secondary education, in two school groups and two nongrouped schools, in the metropolitan area of Lisbon. Data were collected through an online questionnaire survey answered by 1113 secondary school students (11th and/or 12th grade), of the four educational establishments, and interviews were conducted with four directors of the same spaces, which are school management bodies. After analyzing the data from the questionnaires through the SPSS software and the data from the interviews through content analysis, it was observed that the most experienced violence situations are humiliation, exclusion from the group and aggression, and these occur mainly in social networks and inside the school. Colleagues were the ones who most witnessed these situations, and indifference was predominant (“passively witnessed”). Both directors and most students are aware of the Student Statute, and directors have participated in activities promoted by other entities to instigate civic spirit and well-being. All participants are familiar with the PSP Safe School Program and feel safer with the presence of Safe School Agents in or near schools. It is concluded that it is important to increase awareness actions as a strategy to prevent school violence
