Abstract(s)
As organizações não podem “reinventar a roda” cada vez que encaram um novo projeto. Devem tirar partido da experiência adquirida em projetos anteriores através da aplicação de lições aprendidas. As lições aprendidas são uma abordagem conhecida, utilizada para capturar, armazenar e recuperar o conhecimento obtido durante a execução de um projeto, focada em como os eventos do projeto foram abordados ou deverão ser abordados no futuro, para melhorar o desempenho dos projetos.
Esta dissertação combina resultados de dois artigos de investigação científica, apresentando uma visão geral da importância das lições aprendidas no contexto organizacional. O primeiro artigo utiliza uma análise bibliométrica para explorar as conexões de rede estabelecidas entre artigos selecionados, enquanto o segundo artigo apresenta um estudo de caso que investiga o cenário real da aplicação de lições aprendidas numa organização da indústria automóvel.
A análise bibliométrica destaca a crescente influência das lições aprendidas nas organizações e ao examinar publicações relevantes, relacionadas com o tema, esta investigação identificou palavras-chave e temas relevantes, autores influentes e artigos de investigação importantes. Os resultados da investigação indicam também o papel de temas emergentes tal como a inteligência artificial.
Em combinação com a análise bibliométrica, o estudo de caso investiga os aspetos práticos da aplicação das lições aprendidas dentro da organização. Com foco em uma empresa líder do ramo automóvel, esta pesquisa explora o real cenário de aplicação de processos de lições aprendidas da organização através da análise dos seus procedimentos, da sua documentação e do seu sistema de gestão do conhecimento. Esta pesquisa também coletou dados através de conversas informais e juntamente com a aplicação de um questionário dirigido aos profissionais organizacionais, este segundo artigo pretende revelar o real estado das lições aprendidas dentro da organização.
Ao combinar os principais resultados destas duas pesquisas, esta dissertação contribui para fornecer uma compreensão abrangente dos processos de lições aprendidas e a sua real aplicação no contexto organizacional. Estas descobertas combinadas reforçam o papel fundamental das lições aprendidas e fornecem informações valiosas para futuros investigadores, praticantes e orientarão também a organização sobre como melhorar os processos gerais de lições aprendidas para aumento futuro do desempenho organizacional e dos projetos na área da indústria automóvel.
Organizations cannot “reinvent the wheel” each time they face a new project. They need to take advantage of the experience gained in past projects through the application of lessons learned. Lessons learned is a well-known approach, applied to collect, store, and retrieve the knowledge gained during a project execution, focused on how project events were addressed or how they should be addressed in the future, to improve future project performance. This dissertation combines findings from two distinct scientific research papers, presenting an overview of the importance of lessons learned in the organizational context. The first paper utilizes a bibliometric analysis to explore the network connections established between selected research papers, while the second article presents a case study that investigates the real scenario of the application of lessons learned in one organization from the automotive industry. The bibliometric analysis highlights the growing influence of lessons learned across organizations, and by examining meaningful theme-related publications, this research has identified relevant keywords and themes, influential authors, and meaningful research articles. The research findings, also refer to the role of emerging themes such as artificial intelligence. the case study investigates the practical aspects of the application of lessons learned within the organization. Focusing on a leading automotive company, this research explores the real scenario of the application of lessons learned processes by analyzing the company procedures, documents, and knowledge management system. This research has also gathered data through informal conversations, and together with the application of a survey addressed to the organizational practitioners, this second paper is intended to uncover the real status of the lessons learned within the organization. By combining the main findings of these two research, this dissertation contributes to providing a comprehensive understanding of the lessons learned processes and their real application within the organizational context. These combined findings emphasize the key role of lessons learned, and it provide valuable insights for future researchers, general practitioners, and it will also guide the organization on how to improve the general lessons learned processes for future increase of project and organizational performance within the automotive industry.
