Abstract(s)
O projeto "(Re)construir, (Re)qualificar, (Re)significar" foi desenvolvido numa ilha na cidade do Porto, que iria ser objeto de requalificação, e teve como finalidade "transformar o processo de requalificação da ilha num processo participado pelos moradores, com vista ao seu bem-estar e melhoria na qualidade de vida,e alcançar o empoderamento das pessoas baseado em processos de relação de ajuda".O enquadramento metodológico da investigação-ação participativa facilitou a coconstrução de um projeto que partiu das reais necessidades das pessoas.
O projeto foi desenvolvido em dois eixos: um eixo dirigido às necessidades dos moradores relativamente às condições das habitações e necessidades de melhoramento dos espaços da ilha; um outro eixo, organizado em torno das dificuldades de algumas famnias e/ou moradores. Durante o desenvolvimento das ações,foipossível desenvolver a capacidade de organização dos moradores,uma maior coesão entre eles,e o seu envolvimento ativo e significativo no processo de requalificação da ilha,em conjunto com a proprietária e o grupo de arquitetos. Também um dos elementos da famnia apresentada neste relatório, com quem se desenvolveu uma intervenção psicossocial, baseada na relação de ajuda, foi-se revelando mais autónomo, mais capaz de se autovalorizar, arriscando caminhos novos, e com melhores competências comunicacionais na língua portuguesa.
Em síntese, o projeto de educação e intervenção social teve como principal resultado o empoderamento das pessoas e a sua envolvência nas decisões que diziam respeito às suas vidas e ao processo de transformação da ilha, pelo enfoque numa educação verdadeiramente emancipatória e de uma intervenção reflexiva e participada
The project "(Re)build, (Re)qualify, (Re)signify" was developed on an island in the city of Porto, which would be the object of requalification,and aimed to "transform the process of requalification of the island into a process participated by the residents, with a view to their well-being and improvement in their quality of life, and to achieve the empowerment of people based on processes of helping relationships". The methodological framework of participatory action research facilitated the co-construction of a project that started from the real needs of people. The project was developed along two axes:an axis aimed at the needs of residents in relation to housing conditions and needs to improve the island's spaces; another axis, organized around the difficulties of some families and/or residents. During the development of the actions, it was possible to develop the residents' organizational capacity, greater cohesion between them, and their active and significant involvement in the island's requalification process, together with the owner and the group of architects. Also one of the family members presented in this report, with whom a psychosocialintervention was developed,based on the helping relationship,revealed to be more autonomous,more capable of self-worth, risking new paths, and with better skills in the Portuguese language. ln summary,the education and socialintervention project had as its main result the empowerment of people and their involvement in decisions concerning their lives and the transformation process of the island,by focusing on a truly emancipatory education and a reflective and participated
