Abstract(s)
O projecto de Mestrado “Balneário Públicos” é o registo fotográfico de um espaço que promove um serviço público. Este registo documental assenta numa abordagem contemporânea dos balneários públicos. Aqui são representados os espaços e os objectos que remetem para a presença humana e que se tornam num reflexo da passagem do tempo, da alteração e permanência do espaço e da sua dinâmica. Estes documentos, mais do que informativos, devem ser interpretados pelo espectador, já que eles próprios estão assentes numa interpretação da realidade. Inseridos na cidade de Lisboa, os balneários públicos, através do seu registo, contribuem para a memória fotográfica da cidade.
The Public Baths project is a documentary project, based on photographic images of a public space. It is a contemporary approach to the public baths. Here are represented spaces and objects, which refer to a human presence. Translated time, they show what has changed and what has stayed the same in matters of space and dynamics. These documents provide more than just information. The spectator must interpret them, as they are interpretations of reality. Within the city of Lisbon, public baths, thru its photographic documentation, contribute to the city photographic memory.
