Abstract(s)
mês do ano anterior.
Due to the growing demand for energy in current global scenario, and in order to minimize environmental impact, the production of energy from renewable sources plays an important role in the diversification of energy sources, as it aims to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. This work was carried out at Siaf Energia, a cogeneration plant that uses biomass as its fuel source. This installation represents a sustainable approach, harnessing organic resources to produce electrical and thermal energy. The main aim of this project was to facilitate the maintenance management of the plant, in order to maximize the plant's operational availability, i.e. to prevent unscheduled outages and associated costs by drawing up a preventive maintenance plan. The methodology adopted was Action Research, which contributed to collaboration and involvement between the different hierarchies, as well as allowing for a flexible approach geared towards practical results. This process resulted in a file that provides a checklist of recurring preventive maintenance interventions for the various pieces of equipment, for the timeframe desired by maintenance management, as well as a timetable for planning preventive maintenance tasks, with longer intervention periods throughout the year. Due to the increased importance of lubrication in the installation in question, this work also resulted in a file that provides a checklist of preventive lubrication maintenance interventions and their specifics for the desired timeframe, as well as a schedule for planning and distributing them throughout the year. Since safety, as well as reducing costs and unproductive time, is a requirement for efficient maintenance, the conditions for identifying and accessing lubrication points were improved. To this end, labels with the relevant information were created and applied to all the lubrication points, and the location of the points whose accessibility was deemed inadequate was changed. In order to the maintenance management to assess and monitor the rate of fulfilment of scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, a key performance indicator called Preventive Maintenance Compliance was included in the schedules drawn up. This indicator showed that there was a compliance rate for preventive maintenance tasks of 98 per cent in 2021 and 85 per cent in 2022. With regard to lubrication tasks, the compliance rate was 86% in 2022, but it is not possible to establish a comparative analysis with the previous year, as data is only available for the last month of the previous year.
