Abstract(s)
This project was carried out in an industrial context in a cork company, during an internship period, within the engineering department, as part of the continuous quality improvement team. The main goal of the project is essentially to improve the existing processes, improving productive time and reducing uncenessary waste through the implementation of several quality improvement tools. The presentation of two TPM workshops, which aimed to implement autonomous maintenance on various equipment, decreased the number of failures. Workplaces were organized and cleaned and a new method of controlling / recording tasks performed by operators was established. With the suggested improvement proposals, a potential gain of 1953 € was noted. In the TQM workshop, which looked into detecting the origin of the problems recording the rejection of the line under study as well as at the rejections themselves, a potential gain of 38 415 € per year was found. This was possible through the implementation of the cause-effect diagram to study the origin of the rejections and with the creation of new tools to improve the records. With the work developed and the orientation of the work teams towards improvement practices, it was proved that the attention to detail can have a massive positive impact on a company's productive and financial panorama.
